At Treatment Table we are delighted to have the ability to offer a diagnostic ultrasound service. Whether it is a long standing issue or something you just want to drop in and check, we can accommodate all.

Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to produce pictures of muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and joints throughout the body. It is used to help diagnose sprains, strains, tears, trapped nerves, arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions.

Ultrasound is safe, non-invasive, and does not use any radiation.

How it works

What happens during your scan

Ultrasound machines consist of a computer console, video monitor and an attached transducer. The transducer is a small hand-held device that resembles a microphone.

We apply a small amount of gel to the area under examination and places the transducer there. The gel allows sound waves to travel back and forth between the transducer and the area under examination. The ultrasound image is immediately visible on a video monitor. We can talk you through what we see.
